how to book Michelle as your wedding photographer

INQUIRE
-Click on the contact page. Send a message with all your details including the date, venue name, city and state, and if you’re wanting a full day (6-10 hours) or an elopement package. I’ll send the formal quote for you to review and accept.

consultation call
After you’ve reviewed your formal quote and MHP is a good fit for you, email me to request a phone chat to talk more about your day. Shy about phone calls? I understand some people are! Feel free to ask a few more questions via email first.
03.
THE AGREEMENT
After the consultation call, you’ll read and sign the contract. This provides all parties with information on exactly what they are receiving both in hours and deliverables, along with the payment agreement.

retainer
Next is the non-refundable retainer. Amount varies based on package chosen (25-50%). Once this is paid and the contract is signed by all parties, Michelle Hughes Photography and Video will mark the date as yours. At that point, any inquiries that come in for the same date will be turned away. The day is yours!

ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Now that the paperwork is out of the way, let’s plan your engagement session! This is the best way to get comfortable in front of my camera and get familiar with guided posing prompts. Not everyone is super comfortable in front of the camera and that’s okay! So it is incredibly helpful on your wedding day to have already had a photo session with your fiance.

TIMELINE PLANNING
Based on our consultation call and hearing your specific wants and needs, I will create a detailed wedding day timeline for you. This is so helpful not only to you, but for your vendors (especially hair and makeup!), your family, and friends.

WEDDING DAY
It’s finally here. You’ve researched and planned for months, or even years. You’ve booked vendors and sorted details. When I arrive at your venue, you can sit back and enjoy being pampered by your hair and makeup artist, laugh with your bridesmaids, and eagerly await joining your groom at the end of the aisle, dreaming of the gorgeous photos you’ll soon hang on your walls.

How many pictures will I receive?
For wedding photos, MHP couples can expect any where from 50-100 images or more per shooting hour.
Are you available outside of Prattville, AL?
YES! We shoot in more cities than we could possibly list! Prattville, Montgomery, Millbrook, Auburn, Birmingham, Hoover, Pike Road, etc.
Do you do engagement sessions?
Engagement sessions are the best way for us to get to know each other! I find this helps both the Bride and Groom get comfortable with what to expect in relation to posing on the wedding day.
How many years of wedding photography experience does Michelle have?
Over 10 years! I started out by second shooting for other photographers. I always wanted to gain real life experience before taking on the position of lead role. I'm thankful for these mentors and still occasionally associate shoot for them to this day.
